TABBY WATT Managing Partner and Exec. Vice President
Tabby Watt is a Managing Partner and Executive Vice President of the Yacht and Commercial Division of International Special Risks, Inc. An insurance broker with ISR for over 20 years, Tabby heads the New Gloucester, Maine office, specializing in commercial and recreational marine insurance coverage. Tabby’s marine underwriting knowledge, industry experience and outstanding reputation among underwriters and insurance brokers alike has brought ISR to the forefront of both the luxury and sport fisherman insurance markets.
An active participant on the tournament fishing circuit, Tabby represents ISR as a proud sponsor of the Bahamas Billfish Championship (BBC) Series and the Custom Boat Shoot Out. In 2008, her article on yacht insurance was featured in Teaser, the BBC’s quarterly magazine. Under Tabby’s leadership, ISR remains an active American International Marine Underwriters (AIMU) and Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) member. Tabby and ISR are a proud sponsor and participant of the Mariner’s Club Marine Seminar, Fort Lauderdale Boat Show and Miami Boat Show.
The proud mother of ten-year-old Lucas and seven-year-old, Samantha, Tabby spends her free time cheering on soccer, gymnastics and lacrosse teams. She is happy to be able to share her love of horses with her kids through competitive horseback riding.

VANESSA DARLING Vice President
For 10 years, Vanessa Darling has helped build ISR into the largest intermediary marine insurance brokerage on the East Coast; first in Renewal Accounts, then Office Manager, Producer and Vice President. She represents ISR as a member of the Los Suenos Billfish Tournament Committee and is official scorekeeper for the tournaments. Vanessa is a participant and member of the American Institute of Marine Underwriters.
Vanessa began her career in insurance in the early eighties as a licensed Property & Casualty agent. Known for their yacht and commercial fishing boat programs, Smithwick & Mariner in Portland, ME hired Vanessa in 1989 specifically to create a Property & Casualty division. After ten years under her care, Vanessa left a fully-staffed and lucrative P&C division writing many high-profile accounts to join ISR in their yacht division.
She and her husband, Ron, spend summers on their boat cruising New England waters and enjoy taking time-out with their children and grandchildren. Vanessa is also a fan and student of ballroom dancing and can be found waltzing and jiving around New England with several local dance groups.

PETER ARNDT Vice President
With a long-standing career in the marine insurance industry, Peter Arndt joined ISR in 2007 as a producer and Vice President. A yacht broker for over a decade, Peter began an 11 year tenure with Hinckley Marine Insurance in 1993 and a subsequent 3 years at Marsh’s Specialty Yacht Practice managing their Yarmouth, ME office. Peter established an international book of business comprised of custom cruisers, sailboats and motor yachts and implemented several manufacturer-specific insurance programs.
Peter is a lifelong sailor and has made several Trans-Atlantic crossings, twice on his own sailboat. In 1997, Peter spent 7-months cruising the Caribbean with his wife and their two boys on a 36-foot sailboat. He lives with his family on the coast of Maine and often bikes the 9 miles to work and back.

Susie Cummings-Proctor Yacht Specialist
Susie Cummings-Proctor was pleased to join a growing ISR Yacht & Commercial Division in 2006. An account representative for the Commercial Ocean Marine division of Smithwick & Mariner Insurance for 6 years, Susie specialized in commercial fishing vessels. She now oversees the ISR renewal team in the New Gloucester, ME office.
Susie holds a Business Degree from the University of Maine, Orono. Once the youngest person to race in the J/35 Nationals, Susie still races sailboats out of Maine Harbors - sometimes competing against her own husband, Brian. Susie lives in the Maine woods with Brian, and their two children, Kai and Cale.

PAT CARROLL Yacht Specialist
Pat Carroll became a member of the ISR renewal accounts team in 2005. For over twenty years, Pat worked at the Gillete Company in Boston, MA. While working full-time, she pursued an MBA and also went to culinary arts school. After leaving Gillette, she went on to get her post-baccalaureate in Elementary Education and worked as a teacher and Director of an extended day kindergarten program in Duxbury, MA.
Ten years ago, Pat and her husband Paul traveled to China to meet and bring home their adopted daughter, Ali. They live in southern Maine and Pat is an active volunteer in the school system.

JESSICA BLAKE Yacht Specialist
In 2007, Jessica Blake came to ISR from Marsh’s Specialty Yacht Practice as a licensed yacht insurance specialist. Prior to her three years with Marsh, Jessica worked for her family-owned and operated company, The B.A.S.S. Group, as a Section 125 Plan Administrator and Benefits Manager.
Jessica graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1996 with a degree in Music Business and spent four years working for Ted Kurland Associates, an international jazz booking/management agency before relocating to Maine.

Joan Couture Yacht Specialist
Joan Couture has been with ISR for the past nine years handling all new business servicing as well as billing and administrative responsibilities.
Prior to ISR, Joan worked for Sedgwick Insurance and subsequently Marsh McLennan for eight years in their Commercial Lines department.
